Why is Dick Cheney still the Vice President?
I mean, can we be honest with each other for second. Is there anyone in this country--I mean anyone--Democrat or Republican--anyone at all who does not think Dick Cheney knows the whole nine yards in the CIA leak case?
Sure, it was Lewis Libby, Dick Cheney's right arm, who was charged with a crime on Friday. Sure, Dick Cheney was not indicted for anything. But we all agree that Dick Cheney, our Vice President, is the key to this whole sordid affair, right?
Let's try it this way: If you think Dick Cheney knows everything there is to know about the CIA leak case, raise your hand. That's what I thought.
We all agree that Dick Cheney is either (1) guilty of something in this CIA leak case or (2) knows exactly who is guilty of something. Either way, Dick Cheney knows exactly what happened.
And despite the fact that the entire country agrees that Dick Cheney knows everything about this CIA leak case--which is costing taxpayers millions of dollars, and destroying the public trust in government--the Vice President is saying nothing. Nada. Nil.
Instead of talking to America, like a man with one shred of honor left, or one ounce of respect for this country, Vice President Cheney is just sitting there in the White House like a great big pile of rotten, stinky trash--that smells worse and worse with each passing day.
And maybe we're all just too polite to say something, but we all know there's only one thing to do with rotten, stinky, trash: throw it out.
The time has come for Vice President Cheney to speak to the American people.
The time has come for Vice President Cheney to tell us what he knows.
And then resign.
