BIG BEN: Congressman Ben Cardin wins his bid to the U.S. Senate in Maryland after a nasty race.

Democratic Congressman Ben Cardin has defeated the Republican Shelby White in the Maryland Senate race.

This is GREAT news! The charismatic Steele had run a dirty race--including a round of posters that claimed he was a Democrat--a Republican claiming he was a Democrat to win votes. I suppose it would be flattering if it wasn't immoral. Ah, but even if immorality doesn't stop Republicans, this time it did not get one elected.

Congratulations Maryland!
