If you are like me, you are looking for the best way to celebrate the inauguration of Barack Obama and Joe  Biden.  Well, I have answer:  An inaugural ball in our nation's capital, co-hosted by your favorite political blog.

I love a good party, but I am very cautious about signing "Frameshop" onto events.  But alas...this one will be fantastic.

So, take out a pencil and write this down on your calendar, here are the details:

Netroots Nation Yes We Can Party
An evening of celebration, carousing, eating and drinking with fellow members of the progressive community.

Co-hosted by AmericaBlog, Congress Matters, Firedoglake, Fivethirtyeight.com, Frameshop, Jack & Jill Politics, and myDD.

Monday, January 19, 2009 7 p.m. to midnight
The Clarendon Ballroom
3185 Wilson Boulevard, Arlington VA
Just 3 miles from downtown DC // Accessible by the Metro (Orange line)

Tickets are $90 (includes hors d'oeuvres and four drink tickets). Get yours at netrootsnation.org/yeswedid

I know the Clarendon Ballroom well--it is a very popular place for a party, so you will definitely need to get a ticket, and they are going fast.  Head on over to the site and get one right now (or two, or six).

At the party itself, we will definitely have a few rounds of toasts to celebrate all the work Frameshop readers put into this election.  And once we've toasted the new President and Vice President, we'll find something else to toast.

As more details come out in the days/weeks ahead, I will post them here and to Facebook.  Dress is casual for this event, but I will be putting on my party tie, which I take out once a year.
